Textbook Meursault - not too soft nor too angular. An object lesson in complex, well balanced white Burgundy. Showing well with nice bottle age.
Christophe Diconne has now taken over from his father, Jean-Pierre and continues to 'tweak' his wines - constantly discussing and tasting with other vignerons, always striving for the best. The whites have become even more elegant and balanced without losing any concentration.
The Clos des Luchets, from a very well sited 'lieu-dit' (Burgundy speak for a vineyard with a long established identity), is a lovely demonstration of what chardonnay is capable of in this blessed little corner of the Cote d'Or.
