- Case discounts are only available when you
purchase and collect your wine from our shop.
Mail Order Contracts
You may cancel your mail order contract within seven working days from delivery of goods. If you wish to cancel please let us know in writing (The Halifax Wine Company, 18 Prescott Street, Halifax, HX1 2LG). Please note that there may be a charge to return the goods to us. In the event that an order is cancelled and the goods are returned, all bottles should be returned unopened and in the original mail order packaging. We will refund the full price of the order within 30 days from cancellation.

Pay & Collect from Shop
8% Case Discount is available if you pay and collect from our shop.
(A case is 12 bottles which can be mixed excluding fortified wines which are not subject to discount).
Local Delivery to HX postcodes
- £85 or over: FREE delivery to HX postcodes, per address
- Under £85: £5.00 charge on orders under £85.00 to HX postcodes, per address
Nationwide Delivery
- Orders of £350 or over: FREE delivery to one address.
- Orders of £125.01 to £350: £6.95 up to 12 bottles, then £4.95 per subsequent case/part case, per address.
- Orders of 40.01 to £125: £9.95 up to 12 bottles, then £4.95 per subsequent case/part case, per address.
- Orders of £25 to £40: £11.95 per address.
For deliveries north of Glasgow, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, Northern Island, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland, please enquire about the delivery charge.
We regret that we do not ship outside of the UK.
We pride ourselves in our ever evolving range of wines and the personal service we offer. What we have on our website is (99% of the time!) what we've got in stock, and although our website is updated once a week, we can't fully guarantee stock quantities. If a wine you have chosen is not available for any reason, will be delighted to recommend another!
Minimum order value of £25 excluding delivery.
We do our very best to turn orders round as quick as possible. If you order before 1pm (tues-fri), and the wine/s in stock (99% of the time it is!), we'll aim to despatch same day. Please note that orders placed after noon on a Friday will be processed & despatched the following Tuesday/Wednesday. Our couriers operate on a next day delivery, Monday - Friday usually between 8.30am - 5pm, and will require a signature upon delivery. A Saturday delivery is possible but at an additional charge.
If there is no one home to accept the delivery our couriers will leave a card with the local depot number on. Please give them a call to arrange a convenient re-delivery time. Our couriers will attempt delivery twice, a failed delivery will be returned to us, but please note that a returned delivery charge will be incurred.
However, if you'd like the courier to leave your order in a particular place (e.g. down side of garage, in porch etc) this is possible, please let us know. NB ~ The Halifax Wine Company cannot be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it. Please indicate clearly in the Delivery Instructions any special delivery requirements.
Your order will be packed into specific mail order transit packaging, which has been approved by our courier. Please check your order upon receipt and inform us of any anomalies within 24 hours.
